Employees Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1952: Appellant Tribunal

Appellant Tribunal:  Sec 7D
The central govt constitutes employees provident fund appellant tribunal. This tribunal is framed to provide for dispute solving mechanism so that disputes under employees provident fund act can be resolved without wastage of time.
Every tribunal has a presiding officer who is qualified to be a high court or a district judge. The tribunal will work with all the powers of court under IPC.
The tribunal has power to decide any dispute relating to the working of employees provident fund act.
The presiding officer of tribunal will have the power to pass such orders which are necessary.

The presiding officer shall hold the office for max. five years.
